Democracy, the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights out the window in an exchange of liberty for "security"?

This is what happens when military general officers are appointed to civilian posts in government. The military mind is incompatible with democratic governance.

Sane minds - inside and outside the militar - are saying that the NSA's position is strategic idiocy.

Seems that most of our allies agree that it's idiocy.

Russia seems to be wondering whether we're going over to THEIR point of view ... at least when it comes to citizen (lack of) freedoms, and strategic outlook (i.e., if you're not WITH the ruling gang, you're against it).
