Tom, this "Anglo-Zionist " terminology smacks of anti-semitism...

Like they want to "blame the Jews...." because Russia is so f-ed up....

What do they think the Jews can practice mind control and make Putie Poot think he is "out of money!" ?

Same thing with the dumb Greeks and their failed incompetent educator card carrying member of the academe sorry loser "teacher" Varoufakis.... who can't demonstrate the math and now we see "blame the Jews" polling out of there...

This is just scapegoating for the incompetent failed people in leadership....

As I read it, it's about the US and UK unquestioning support of hard-line right-wing Israeli policy and interests. HRC just said that she will be friendlier to Israel than Obama. This means toward the hard-liners.

Obama is a supporter of Israel as a US ally, of course, but not the hard-liners wishes and policies that he doesn't deem in the interest of the US, e.g., making a deal with Iran. Many in Congress are committed to scuttling any potential deal and instead attacking Iran as the Israeli hard-liners want. These are just facts of US politics that are an open book.

It's like saying that anyone that supports Palestinian statehood, curtailment of settlements on disputed land, or criticizes Israeli military action against Palestinians is anti-semitic. That's just not true. Many liberal Jews do, too, both in Israel and abroad. But the US and UK have generally supported Israeli interests regardless.

The politics and maneuvering on the ground in MENA are complicated and convoluted by with a very clear rationale underlying that this beyond the scope of this comment. Suffice it say that Saker understands it very well as an analyst and strategist.

Tom there are many who would like to take down Iran without regard to what Israel policy is...

How can these Russian nationalists demand a place at the middle east table today for Russia their country didn't even exist when the original Resolution was passed back in the 40's?

Their predecessor (failed) nation did though from wiki: "All Western nations voted for the resolution, with the exception of the United Kingdom (the Mandate holder), Greece and Turkey. The Soviet bloc also voted for partition, with the exception of Yugoslavia"

The thing with these people is they always want to renege... their signing on to something is basically meaningless... this is the basic rub between the west and Russia/MENA ...

Those people don't understand that "a deal is a deal..." its not in their DNA to keep agreements... that is where the trouble starts...
