Looking like WWIII is getting closer with the US sending ships to challenge China's territorial claims, NATO building up Europe and continuing to try to destabilize Russia, and the apparent commitment to confront Russia by proxy in Syria.
No offsetting good news here. US hawks seem to be in charge of US policy.

The Mighty Wurlitzer just got mightier.
And this from Moon of Alabama saying that the flow of weapons to the terrorists has been turned back on at even higher levels than before, seemingly reversing statements made just a couple of days ago that the US would end support for the so-called "moderate" rebels.
Reading in between the lines, there was a power struggle in DC on whether to throw in the towel or escalate. The hawks won. One wonders what goes on behind the scenes, and who the players are? The deep state? The Sauds? (remember, the dollar is effectively pegged to Saudi oil, free floating currency my ass). Israel?
Certainly there is nothing in Syria of critical importance to the American people. Nothing worth starting WWIII over. But Syria is important to the Sauds, to Israel, and to the Zbigniew Brzezinski's who deeply believe that the U.S. should rule the world.
