PCR - The Twitter President

I love this guy, even if he does get it wrong sometimes, like he defends the white working class bigoted male, but hey, these people elected Trump and may have saved us from a nuclear war that Hilary - the warmonger who was always up for for another war - could have caused. No wonder PCR defends them.
If Trump is real, he will arrest Mueller, Comey, Brennan, Hillary, Obama, the DNC, and break the presstitute media monoplies into a thousand pieces. In my opinion he should also arrest Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham and a number of US Representatives, all of whom are engaged in a campaign to ovethrow the eleced government of the United States. Abe Lincoln provided the precedent by exiling a US Representative and arresting 300 northern newspaper editors.
If President Trump failes to clear the agenda of those driving the world to nuclear war with Russia (and China), he will be the US President who failed humanity and snufed out life on earth.

To say he is very late to this issue is an understatement....

The highest probability of use of nuclear weapons right now is in North Korea... which Hillary would have appeased as was the norm before Trump...

If NK shoots at Guam or Alaska or Hawaii now I’d say it’s likely Trump will respond with nuclear weapons.... this would never had happened with Hillary...

Putin has given Trump the green light here:

China has so much USDs they will never do anything either...

PCR was on the Richie Allen Show and he was being optimistic about Trump, but Richie Allen was having none of it and was quite tough on him. I could understand PCR'S optimism, it's really just hoping. I was the same, I wanted to believe Trump would be different too. A last hope. But we got an idiot instead.

The deeper commentary is that a Korean war or even at attack to which NK responds by destroying a large portion of SK would tank the Asian economy owing to the part that SK plays in it. That would tank the global economy along with Asia, owing to the close coupling that exists now. NK could also hit Japan, further exacerbating the problem globally.

There are reasons that NK has a strong hand and Bannon set forth some of them. NK is not Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria or Libya. Neither is Iran, and US strategists know it. For example, a big war in the ME involving Saudi Arabia, who along with Israel, is pushing the US to war with Iran, would drive the price of oil through the roof.

These are not easy options to game out.

Ryan Harris said...

Isn't the goal to drive SK and NK together slowly, not nuclear war or toppling the regime or whatever? Making the US the bad cop, while Moon is lightly anti-US and China has a big-red-line on NO US troops in NK give space and pressure to keep going. Young Kim is allowing consumer markets, technology and more freedoms than his father and grand father. The left needs to stop hyper-ventilating over Korea with the media propaganda and appreciate the magnitude of changes that occurred in Pyongyang daily life over the last few years. It's massive and US policy was outdated. US and Trump needed to adapt to a new reality despite the fears of the old fashioned academic for-pol elite who cling to their policies with a white knuckle fear mongering. Obama's era was peak academic theorizing and ideological purity. It is over.

I am hoping that Kim and Trump are carrying on a war of words, when both realize that they can both win giggly by resolving this to the satisfaction of everyone through some compromises "without banking down."

There are some signs of that they are both deal-makers.

Both Tom and Ryan have cheered me up a bit. Yes, Trump always said he was good at doing deals.

Matt Franko said...

That may be Tom but if NK takes a shot at us that’s a different deal... Trump probably counter punches with a lightning strike of tactical nukes at all NK military and govt targets .... he has the green light from Putin to pop that pimple....

If Trump did any of those things, there would be an absolute meltdown of a large segment of the left. Maybe most of the left (what we call the left, I'm including democrats too), which has Trump derangement syndrome the same way the right had Obama derangement syndrome. They truly believe we're on the verge of a dictatorship.

Tom Hickey said...

NK is not going to "take a shot at us."

They will, however, demonstrate that they are capable of it.

Big difference.

The bluster is conflating this.

Tom Hickey said...

The so-called left has already melted down to the point of irrelevance.

I don't know what happened to the left. In one of my books the authors described how the One Percent destroyed the left. It was orchestrated. The think tanks discredited Keynes economic theories. They destroyed the unions. Now I get Amazon delivery drivers come to my door and they are on the lowest wages but I bet they have no idea about unions.

No one is really interested in politics anymore. They put up with being poor because they think it is no one's fault, just how the world is. The corporate media doesn't really bring up anything that is reverent. They just do a hatchet job on Corbyn.

NK is no threat at all to the US.

In their misadventures in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and Lybia, the US has trained NK and whoever else we don't like to seek nukes. It's survival. If you can't see that, you shouldn't be part of the conversation because you're dangerously dim-witted.

We've lost our collective minds. James Bond villains don't exist, yet the public thinks they do including some here. All countries have interests, including NK, but you never hear that.

If the newspaper isn't telling you the entire story regarding economics, why the fuck would you think foreign matters are reported accurately? Look up the Gell-Mann Amnesia Effect.

Matt Franko said...

Jeff,

Youre over thinking it...

If they shoot at us we take them out and possibly with tactical nukes there is not much more to it...

Tom Hickey said...

“Briefly stated, the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect is as follows. You open the newspaper to an article on some subject you know well. In Murray's case, physics. In mine, show business. You read the article and see the journalist has absolutely no understanding of either the facts or the issues. Often, the article is so wrong it actually presents the story backward—reversing cause and effect. I call these the "wet streets cause rain" stories. Paper's full of them.
In any case, you read with exasperation or amusement the multiple errors in a story, and then turn the page to national or international affairs, and read as if the rest of the newspaper was somehow more accurate about Palestine than the baloney you just read. You turn the page, and forget what you know.” ― Michael Crichton

If they get something as simple as the distinction between currency issuer and users wrong, how can they possibly understanding anything complicated. They can't. So they ask the "experts" that give them the party line.

The whole corporate news industry is BS. It would not be so bad is they were just morons but they are interested morons pushing BS.

Jeff65 said...

Yes Matt,

We can't or won't discuss why Noko might shoot at the US. As I said, out of your minds. People believe in cartoon villains.

"Putin has given Trump the green light here"

Matt, that article says absolutely nothing of the kind. What are you basing your statement on?

I agree with Tom that NK doesn't take a shot at us, if by that you mean an unprovoked preemptive attack. There's no way in hell that happens as it would mean the end of North Korea (irrespective of who occupies the Oval Office).
